We endeavor to educate the public of the plight of these wonderful dogs and demonstrate what loving companions they make.

YD

YD

YD is a delightful 6 year old male brindle.  He was "rescued" from Korea.  So, in addition to being exposed to household items for the first time, he had to learn a whole new language.  Fortunately, he is a smart eager guy.  He LOVES to play.  Unfortunately, he is recovering from heartworm treatment and is on limited activity through the month of March.  But, after that, he should be good to go.  He gets along well with cats (he lives with three).  He'd like to play with them a little bit too much, but they stand up to him.  He LOVES his walks.  He has met kids and big and small dogs and he gets along well with them.  He climbs stairs with exuberance.  He hangs out in his crate pretty well.  He does a little bit of verbalizing when left totally alone, but it's been diminishing.  He IS protective of his crate when approached by dogs or cats.

Ferris

RDS Ferris Wheel

This petite girl is looking forward to her retirement after a long racing career.  She is very sweet but somewhat uncertain about her place in this new environment.  She enjoys going for walks and snooping around the backyard.  She showed some interest in toys, but she is not sure what to do with them yet.  She will need some patience and encouragement to build up her confidence but will make a wonderful companion.

Thibodaux

Thibodaux

Thibodaux is a 5yo male who arrived from Caliente.  He is a friendly gentleman, who likes to lean on you to get a hug.  A real people lover, including kids.  Currently in foster with two female greyhounds.  Learning to play with toys.  Easy to walk.  Stairs and smooth floors are not a problem.
