Millie has been patiently waiting for just the right time (about a year) to adopt a greyhound. During that time, she had come to some Sacramento meet & greets, listened to the volunteers talk about the breed and studied up on greyhounds all the while hoping that the right greyhound would soon come her way. Then, in ran Chance! Chance is now residing in Davis and living in harmony with a sweet non-grey, a chihuahua, cats and even a few rats! Oh, did we mention that Millie is studying to be a veternarian?

Aubrey and Levi met the greyhounds at the Napa Farmers’ Market M&G.  Their love of animals in need naturally attracted them to the retired greyhounds.  They each spent hours visiting with us, asking questions, and falling in love with the breed.   And so it was that Leslie came to join their household which includes cats Harold and Maude, and a boxer/spaniel mix named Atticus.  Leslie is now Calpurnia and can look forward to life with her own forever family.   Congratulations to the newly expanded family!

“YD” now “Enzo”, a special greyhound imported from Korea, added his last stamp to his passport book by making Rohnert Park his official home. He may be as fast as a Ferrari, but he'll be replacing some of that speed with lots of relaxation and just having fun with The Buechler Family.

"Good things come to those who wait" has to be Hemi's motto! After patiently waiting for just the right adopters to come his way, Hemi moved from his prominent spot on WCGA's adoptable list to his perfect, forever home and is now living comfortably with Sue & Chuck in Oakmont. There were lots of cheers from many WCGA volunteers when we heard who fell for this special boy! We all felt like he was one of our own :)
