Kirk

Captain James Kirk 12/20/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 201 With a racing name as cool as Captain James Kirk, how could one think of changing it?! Rosemary and Bob of Sebastopol will call their new boy Kirk. It didn't take long for Kirk to settle in. In fact, he played with all the dog toys at his new house during their Home Visit--before he was officially adopted!

Annabelle

Rx Supersonic 12/19/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 202 How perfect these two look together! Joan took just a moment to wrap her head around the idea of adopting an older dog, but after meeting Rx Supersonic and a few other senior greyhounds, Joan welcomed her new brood matron (used for breeding) with open arms. Supersonic is now Annabelle and she lives with Joan in Forestville.

Johnny

Jukebox Johnny 12/19/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 203 Del and Leslie were looking for a canine addition to their home and since Leslie had a greyhound previously, she knew she wanted another one. When Jukebox Johnny showed up for their home visit, he fit in so well with their family (which includes a chihuahua-terrier mix and a cat), they knew he was the dog for them. Johnny is enjoying the retired life in Sonoma.

Balki

Bullseye Boy 12/16/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 204 Danielle and David, from Santa Rosa, have been wanting a Greyhound for a long time. They waited until just the right time to adopt Bullseye Boy. Now, Balki is their wonderful reward! Balki transitioned into their home so well, you'd think he had been living there his entire life. Larry, the Basset Hound is most happy to have a new buddy! Balki has already begun taking fun trips around CA with his new family.

Calla

Calla 12/07/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 206 Christine and Ross of Napa adopted Betsy (right) last September. They decided Betsy would enjoy the company of a greyhound friend. After reading Calla's description, they knew she would be the perfect fit to welcome into their family, including their grandchildren. These happy greyhound girls are sure to become the best of friends!

Persia

Ricco's Bikini Wax 11/21/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 207 Sandy of Santa Rosa is another adopter who spent a lot of time considering a greyhound companion. She was especially concerned about how her kitties would feel about a canine addition to the family. Persia was just happy to be in a permanent home and she is thrilled with all the love and attention she is getting.

Cleo

Cruel Girl 11/07/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 209 Will of Healdsburg spent a long time thinking about adopting a retired racer and now the time is right. Cruel Girl, now Cleo, just happened to be available and she also happened to be the perfect girl for Will!

James

DLT Bookers 10/09/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 210 Eleanor and Rich of Little River (on the Mendocino Coast) have been patiently waiting to meet the boy that was brought in from Oklahoma specifically for them. Bookers, now James, sure was worth the wait. He hugs his super long, soft neck around everyone he meets.

Sophie

PW's Syrah 10/09/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 211 Dee and Kurt of Sebastopol were given a choice between two greyhounds...mellow and 5 1/2 years or an 18 month old puppy. Raine, now Sophie, is the puppy and she'll definitely keep them on their toes for awhile. Sophie is a sweet girl who loves to steal things and gets along great with children. Dee's grandchildren will love her!

Marin

Daredevil Bonnie 09/26/2009
Adoption blurbs for previous dogs 213 6 year old Daredevil Bonnie was described as "eager to crawl in your lap for kisses." And she just happened to be black to match Brinkley. Bonnie is now Marin and she is at home with Kay and Brinkley in Sacramento.
